In the month of December, companies traditionally celebrate Christmas parties with their employees. It is a time of joy, it is about having fun and strengthening ties between colleagues. And what better way to round it off than with a proposal from Artigot Catering.
The truth is that there are clients who repeat every year, even if they change the space, they don't change the catering, there must be a reason!
The space in which to hold the Employee Christmas Party varies depending on the number of people, the schedule and the budget.
It is very common that it is done in the same offices of the company, it is very convenient for them (they avoid transportation, it is cheaper and they ensure greater affluence) and not so convenient for us, because it is difficult to find a place to provide the service.
The Hall or an auditorium or the canteen or an inner courtyard is good for the public, but to plate and heat the food, if they do not have a dining room and kitchen, we often have to go outside, with the cold weather at this time of the year, with a tent and a generator.
A variant of this party, which is held in offices, is usually a Family Day which is also attended by the employees' children, and usually consists of a fun snack for the little ones. However, some people prefer to take them to a movie in a cinema or a play in a theater, and we offer the service at the end of the show.
When clients are invited or for some reason the company wants to give a very good or innovative image, impressive external spaces are chosen and it is more common for them to be midday events, even if they are extended with the possibility of having a drink in the afternoon.
But the most demanded spaces are undoubtedly the discotheques.
Artigot Catering hardly works in discotheques throughout the year, but on these dates, we go from one to another. In the discotheques, the usual thing is that they are in charge of the drinks and we only provide the food, because afterwards they stay drinking, dancing and enjoying with their companions.
What is the most used Catering format?
In 90% of the cases, the catering format is cocktail. It is important that the objective of promoting a good working environment among employees is met, so the fact that they can move freely while eating, greatly facilitates the interrelationship. For the same reason, many more free bars are requested as a closing event than at any other time of the year, logically.
Some seated dinner or lunch is also offered, but it is not the most requested.
However, I do want to point out that there are many cases in which the employees themselves organize their own Christmas party with the permission of the management to hold it on the premises and pay for it at their own expense.
The number of diners is much smaller, especially because it is usually by departments or because they are small companies, but it is then the lunch format or Spanish wine the most requested and in many occasions, they themselves are the ones who carry the drink and do not want waiters. Well, good for them, and may that spirit not wane...
Time, one of the most important factors to take into account when organizing a catering for company parties at Christmas.
The date is the most important thing, although you would never have thought it, because EVERYBODY wants the week before Christmas and if possible on Friday.
This generates a lot of problems, both for the spaces and the caterers, because they fill up with pre-reservations that, if not confirmed soon, force them to reject other offers so as not to exceed the work capacity.
The companies that do it with more time do not have a problem with the date, but those who have had to look for a space in the week before Christmas, or a caterer that will take care of them, know that they will have a hard time and will have to make do with what is "left".
It is a pity, we have rejected many requests for not being able to cover more events in one day or week, with how easy it would be to plan this party well in advance and be able to extend the possible date of celebration, throughout the month of December...
And every year the same thing happens, every year.
Fortunately, this year we are not confined, which is another one.
By the way, our party will be on December 18, Sunday, of course...
